Tom spoke with Allyson Clark, Vice President of Business Operations at Halo Health. She goes into detail about her passion for facilitating sales people.
Allyson started out her career in the legal world, where she stayed for over a decade. In 2008 she lost her job due to the financial crisis but was recruited into Sales Ops. Through this role she discovered her passion for working with Salesforce. After some time working on the consulting side, she returned to Sales Ops 3 years ago.
In her current position, she is taking on the challenge of running all the Ops teams. Allyson works hard to drive communication between revenue teams. She explains that this is much easier at a smaller company as they are more transparent. As a company scales, you need to put silos in place or there is too much noise. Teams should be mindful of when there are intense pushes, often those in sales don’t understand the intensity of quarter end.
Allyson explained that her role now focuses more on execution than communication. She appreciates that at Halo Health, the tools and tech stack are fantastic. Everyone is bought in, which can be a huge problem. She believes that they are embracing data in a major way.
She explains that increased virtual work has helped from a data perspective. Lacking other forms of interaction, data plays a more foundational part. Even salespeople are very compliant with giving Allyson data. They understand that if they have more data, it will affect their compensation.
